CAMPER DAYS DOUBLED
As of the middle of May it appears we may, from the summer of 2007, double the number of camper-days to the summer of 2008. (“Camper-days” is one way to mark the extent of involvement in camp. One “camper-day” = one night at camp.) What this means is that the UMW, which commits to paying “1/2 up to $100” of the registration fee for any children from this church who go to camp, is being extended! You might ask your UMW friends how this is going, if they have the money, etc. (And then go downtown on ‘Ridiculous Days’ and buy stuff from their Bake Sale! Or better yet, bake something they can sell at the Bake Sale.)
Campers/parents, could you let the office know when you go to camp and we’ll put the campers on the prayer list for that week!

Healing Helpings
The Caring Ministries team is offering “Healing Helpings” as a part of the current Meal Ministry. Our plan is to make large batches of soup or casseroles, freeze individual and family-sized portions, and then have containers available to distribute to people needing assistance.
We are asking for donations of ingredients and aluminum or microwavable containers needed to make frozen casseroles and soups. The list for ingredients needed is in the church breezeway. Please sign up and bring ingredients to the church by Sunday, September 14 at Noon. We will make our first batches on Monday, September 15 at 9:00 a.m. Anyone interested in making large quantities of the casseroles or soups is encouraged to help out.
